For me, painting is an expression of emotions. I am passionate about people and animals, so they are my favourite subjects. Over the years I learned from wonderful teachers in various courses how to capture the essence of my subjects. The challenge -as in life- is always to focus on what is important.

I have been passionate about drawing and photography since I was a child. Drawing evolved into illustration and subsequent colouring, using watercolours and wax pencils. I worked with black and white photography almost exclusively in the 80s and 90s. Since the arrival of digital technology I also like to play with colours.
